Product details
Hammer together a tabletop wooden pirate ship packed with classic seafaring details—six round wooden portholes along the hull, a raised stern cabin, a tall mast topped with a crow’s nest, two sails, and a movable wooden gangplank that slides in and out from beneath the bow deck.
Ways to play
- Build hull, deck, and rigging: Nail the six round wooden portholes onto both sides of the hull, seat the wooden gangplank into its recessed channel, and nail the bow deck and stern cabin over top.
- Raise the sails and crow’s nest: Nail the wooden crow’s nest to the top of the mast, thread the large and medium sails onto the dowel, and press the rigged mast into the center deck hole.
- Slide the plank for pirate adventures: Pull the recessed wooden gangplank out from the side of the hull during tabletop pirate storytelling, then slide it back in when setting sail.
Skills practised
- Fine Motor: Position the six small round porthole disks, bow deck, cabin, and crow’s nest, tap in 12 nails with a hammer, and thread the two pre-punched sails onto the wooden mast.
- Problem Solving & Logic: Follow the numbered diagram so the sliding gangplank is seated inside its recessed channel before the front deck is nailed over it.
- Creativity & Imagination: Extend the sliding gangplank and use the rigged wooden ship for tabletop pirate adventures.
