Product details

Build a wooden stock car that actually races across the floor when the hammering is done. Kids fit the front axle and the rear pull-back motor into the carved wooden body, nail the chassis, cab, and rear spoiler in place, and add racing decals—including an engine graphic hidden under the removable wooden hood.

Ways to play

  • Build the chassis and drivetrain: Seat the front wheel axle and the rear pull-back motor assembly into the underside of the wooden car body, then nail the bottom chassis plate over them to lock the wheels in place.
  • Add the cab, spoiler, and decals: Nail the curved wooden cab and rear wing onto the top deck, stick the engine bay decal under the lift-off hood, and add the windshield, headlights, and side racing stripes.
  • Pull back and race: Set the car on a smooth, flat floor, pull it backward to wind the internal spring motor, and let go to watch it speed ahead.

Skills practised

  • Fine Motor: Seat the two metal wheel axles into their channels, align the pre-drilled chassis and cab holes, and tap in 8 nails with a hammer.
  • Problem Solving & Logic: Follow the step-by-step build diagram to orient the pull-back motor axle correctly before locking down the bottom plate, cab, and spoiler.
  • Hand–Eye Coordination: Aim the finished race car down a clear floor lane, pull it back to wind the motor, and release it cleanly toward a target.
